Kitui Ranked 2nd Best in Health Products & Technologies Management

Kitui County has been feted after emerging the runner-up in the management of Health Products and Technologies (HPTs) excellence awards during KEMSA's Annual Forum with health and finance CECMs and Chief Officers in Nairobi. Kajiado was declared the overall best county in the excellence awards which cover Nairobi and her environs including Nairobi, Kiambu, Murang'a, Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Narok and Kajiado counties.

The criteria for the awards was based on the comprehensive composition of the HPTs in each order, budget allocation for HPTs by the respective county governments, management of the HPTs at facilities and in-time payments of ordered drugs and medical supplies to KEMSA.

Kitui CECM for Finance, Accounting and Revenue Management Peter Kilonzo represented the executive at the awarding event. Chief Officers Aggrey Kamba (Drugs and Medical Supplies) and John Makau (Finance) were also present.
